PERTH FREIGHT LINK — 2017–18 STATE BUDGET
717. Hon RICK MAZZA to the minister representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the $84 million provided for the Perth Freight Link finalisation in the recent budget papers.
(1) Does the $84 million provide for expenses in addition to compensation for contractors, such as revegetation; and, if so, what expenses will be met and at what cost?
(2) Has the government reached final agreements for compensation with all contractors to the Roe 8 project?
(3) If no to (2), how many agreements for compensation have been reached and how many are yet to be agreed?
Hon STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) The $84 million represents the written down capital value of the Perth Freight Link project, and includes $5.7 million for restoration of the Roe 8 site and the costs of environmental offsets.
(2) Yes.
(3) Not applicable.
