Parliamentary Questions

Question On Notice No. 1170 asked in the Legislative Council on 12 April 2018 by Hon Martin Aldridge

Question Directed to the: Leader of the House representing the Premier
Parliament: 40 Session: 1

Question

I refer to Moora in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, and I ask:
(a) has the Minister travelled to Moora on official business at any time since 11 March 2017;
(b) if yes to (a), what was the purpose of the travel; and
(c) does the Minister have any plans to visit Moora in the next 12 months?

Answered on 14 June 2018

(a-b)     Since coming to office in March of 2017, the Premier has travelled extensively throughout regional WA on official business, including places such as Karratha, Albany, Margaret River, Port Hedland, Karijini, Newman, Bunbury, Collie, Pinjarra, Manjimup, Kalgoorlie, Onslow, Broome, Abrolhos Islands, Geraldton, Southern Cross, Exmouth, and Busselton.

The Premier has however met with the Shire of Moora earlier this year.

(c)        As the Honourable Member would be aware, the Premier’s forward schedule is fluid and subject to change. In accordance with standard protocols, the relevant local members will be notified ahead of any Ministerial visit to an electorate.
