COCKBURN–THORNLIE
RAIL LINE EXTENSION

Minister for Transport:
I refer to the Cockburn–Thornlie
rail line extension.
(1) What is the
expected increase in the annual operating subsidy required by the Public
Transport Authority for each year for five years after the completion of the Cockburn–Thornlie
rail extension?
(2) What is the
expected annual depreciation cost each year for five years after the completion
of the Cockburn–Thornlie rail extension?
(3) Will the minister table the
business case; and, if not, why not?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following information is provided on behalf of
the Minister for Transport.
(1)–(2) The Public Transport Authority is currently
reviewing operating parameters for the Thornlie–Cockburn Link.
(3) I table the
attached summary project definition plan.
