CORRECTIVE SERVICES —
PLACE-BASED INTERVENTION GRANTS — KIMBERLEY
35. Hon KEN BASTON to the minister representing the
Minister for Corrective Services:
I refer to the answers to questions
asked on 11 February 2020 about place-based intervention initiatives in the Kimberley.
(1) Will the
minister please list the recipients of the interim place-based intervention
grants totalling $475 000 in the following locations —
(a) Broome;
(b) Fitzroy Crossing;
(c) Halls Creek; and
(d) Kununurra?
(2) Will the
minister table the performance measures outlined in the grant agreements
relevant to each grant?
Hon
STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) The recipients are —
(a) Broome—Broome Youth and Families Hub and
Mens Outreach Service Aboriginal Corporation;
(b) Fitzroy Crossing—to be
confirmed;
(c) Halls Creek—Wunan
Foundation; and
(d) Kununurra—Kununurra
Waringarri Aboriginal Corporation.
(2) The key
performance measure for all the grants is that young people in those
communities are diverted from antisocial behaviour and contact with the
juvenile justice system.
