POLICE — FIREARM
OWNERSHIP
353. Hon JAMES HAYWARD to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer to the 349 000 individual
firearms owned by Western Australians mentioned in the minister's media
release of 22 March 2022.
(1) How many individual firearms
are registered under categories A, B, C, D, E and H?
(2) How many
individual firearms are registered to —
(a) commercial
carrier and warehouse licence holders;
(b) dealer,
repairer and manufacturer licence holders;
(c) corporate and
shooting gallery licence holders; and
(d) collector
licence holders?
(3) How many individual firearms
are stored at private residential properties?
(4) Can the
minister confirm whether the policy announcement at the press conference of 22
March 2022 considered the detailed data requested in questions (1) to (3)?
The PRESIDENT: That is a fairly
