Question
I refer to the McGowan Government’s commitment of $2 million towards a new 25-metre indoor pool and clubrooms at the Collie Mine Workers Memorial Olympic Pool:
(a) what is the current status of this project;
(b) has the financial assistance agreement been completed;
(c) what is the total cost of the project and who will fund the remainder of the cost of the construction;
(d) when will the pool be constructed; and
(e) what are the annual maintenance costs and who will fund these costs?
Answered on 27 November 2018
a) The project is in the planning stage. Community consultation is currently underway.
b) A Financial Assistance Agreement for $150,000 for planning has been executed between the State and the Shire of Collie.
c-e) To be determined as part of the planning. The Shire of Collie will be required to fund maintenance.
