PUBLIC HOUSING — WAITLIST
1075. Hon
STEVE MARTIN to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for
Housing:
I
refer to the minister's answer to question 1054 asked on 26 October
regarding the housing options assessment form.
(1) Does the
government have any intention of reviewing the assessment process?
(2) If yes to
(1), when will this be taking place; and, if no to (1), why not?
(3) If the data
is not being captured in the reporting systems, as confirmed in the answer, how
can the effectiveness of the process be measured?
Hon SUE
ELLERY replied:
I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(3) The
housing options assessment has not changed the eligibility criteria for
inclusion onto the waitlist. It was introduced to improve the information
gathered to better match people to the type of housing and support services
required. The housing options assessment was implemented only in September
2021, following a review of the process.
