DERBARL YERRIGAN HEALTH
SERVICE — RENAL DIALYSIS ACCOMMODATION
194. Hon JACQUI BOYDELL to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the recent decision by
the Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service to walk away from its Elizabeth Hansen
Autumn Centre accommodation facility for visiting renal patients from the
Kimberley and the Pilbara.
(1) What options
are available for visiting patients who need accommodation for renal dialysis
purposes?
(2) How will the
government respond to providing accommodation for patients who travel from
these regions to Perth?
(3) How will the
government ensure that any alternative accommodation options for these patients
will be culturally appropriate?
Hon ALANNA
CLOHESY replied:
