NORTH METROPOLITAN HEALTH SERVICE BOARD — MEMBERSHIP

730. Hon PETER COLLIER to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:

I refer to the response to my question without notice 709 regarding recent changes to the North Metropolitan Health Service board.

(1) Will the parliamentary secretary provide the original appointment times and dates for the six board members who resigned from their positions; and, if not, why not?

(2) With reference to the six board members who resigned from their positions, did all six formally resign from their board positions?

(3) If yes to (2), how many of these resignations were communicated by letter or email?

(4) Will the parliamentary secretary table a copy of the documents and correspondence referred to in (3); and, if not, why not?

(5) If formal resignation letters were not provided for all six board members, how were their resignations communicated to the North Metropolitan Health Service, and is it standard practice to allow board members to resign without formal correspondence?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. I am advised the following.

(1) The information is provided in a tabular form, so I seek leave to have it incorporated into Hansard.

(3) All board members resigned by letter to the Minister for Health.

(4) Consent from each board member is being sought by the department before documents are tabled. The documents will be provided to the member at the earliest opportunity.

(5) Formal resignation letters were provided for all six board members.
