Answered on

MARKET-LED PROPOSALS POLICY

677. Hon PETER COLLIER to the minister representing the Minister for Finance:

I ask this question on behalf of Hon Tjorn Sibma, who is on urgent parliamentary business.

I refer to the establishment of the market-led proposals policy in April 2019.

(1) To date, how many proposals have been submitted—that is, commenced stage 1?

(2) How many of these proposals have had or are having their business case evaluated—that is, advanced to stage 2?

(3) Of this number, how many proponents have been invited to negotiate a final binding offer—that is, progress to stage 3?

Hon STEPHEN DAWSON replied:

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided to me by the Minister for Finance.

(1) There have been 28 proposals received, of which 10 remain under consideration.

(2) One proposal.

(3) Not yet applicable.
