CORONER'S COURT — CASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
330. Hon ALISON XAMON to the Leader of the House representing the Attorney General:
I refer to the Education and Health Standing Committee report entitled ''The Impact of FIFO work practices on mental health''.
(1) Will the Coroner's Court develop and implement a searchable database for recording and monitoring trends in reportable deaths in Western Australia as recommended in the committee report?
(2) If yes to (1), when?
(3) If no to (1), why not?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) Yes, through the planned implementation of a new case management system as part of the integrated courts management system.
(2) The new case management system for the Coroner's Court is expected to be available in the latter part of the 2018–19 financial year.
(3) Not applicable.
