KATE SAVAGE — CORONIAL INQUEST
822. Ms L. METTAM to the Attorney General:
I refer to the tragic death of
teenager Kate Savage. Given that it has been almost 16 months since her death,
when will the Attorney General confirm whether there will be an inquest, and
why is her family having to petition the government for the right to an inquest
to get the answers the family desperately needs and deserves?
Mr J.R.
QUIGLEY replied:
The death of young KS—I
prefer to refer to her by her initials as she was a minor of 13 years of age—is
currently under investigation by staff at the Coroner's Court. This
matter is currently being looked at by expert witnesses, and when those reports
are to hand, further information will be available.
