PRACTICAL DRIVING ASSESSMENTS — AUDIT
666. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Minister for Transport:
I have a supplementary question. I thank
the minister for that answer and the undertaking to provide further
information. As a general principle, is the minister concerned that learner
drivers are having to pay third parties to secure these spots?
Ms R.
SAFFIOTI replied:
Of course I would be. I want to
make sure that we have a fair and equitable system, so we will continue to
reform the system to make sure that everyone in WA has access to a driving
assessment as soon as possible. This area, like all areas, has suffered in
relation to some of the COVID restrictions in the past and labour shortages,
but we continue to work to make sure our system is as fair as possible.
