Parliamentary Questions

Question Without Notice No. 11 asked in the Legislative Assembly on 15 February 2022 by Dr D.J. Honey

Parliament: 41 Session: 1

CORONAVIRUS — TESTING RATES

11. Dr D.J. HONEY to the Minister for Health:

I have a supplementary question. Is it not the case that the minister is withholding critical information on possible exposure sites from Western Australians that might prompt them to get tested?

Ms A. SANDERSON replied:

What an extraordinary and completely baseless accusation.

Dr D.J. Honey: You are. You just said that you were withholding information.

Ms A. SANDERSON: It is not based on any fact whatsoever.

Dr D.J. Honey: You just said you were not giving the information out. You just said it yourself.

Ms A. SANDERSON: Absolutely not. The Premier, the Chief Health Officer and I have stood up day after day and provided information about exposure sites. What a disgraceful contribution from the Leader of the Liberal Party that somehow this government has been hiding information when we are very, very clear —

Several members interjected.

Ms A. SANDERSON: That is that exactly what he said. It is pathetic. You are pathetic. You are a perfect example of irrelevance and you have done that to yourselves over the last three years. It is absolutely appalling and it does a grave disservice to the community of Western Australia, who, frankly, deserve better than the opposition they have.
