(c) How much has been expended as at 1 November 2021;
(d) What is the current estimated cost of the project;
(e) When were the barriers first erected to remove a lane of traffic to accommodate the work;
(f) When was the project initially planned to be finished; and
(g) What is the current estimated completion time?

Answered on 15 February 2022

(a)   A third lane will be added southbound from Hodges Drive to Hepburn Avenue, which is approximately 8.8km long. An additional verge side lane is also being constructed from Hepburn Avenue exit ramp to Warwick Road interchange, with a distance of 1.4km.

(b)   Refer to Ministerial Media Statement dated 20 November 2019.

(c)   $18.6 million.

(d)   Refer to 2021-22 State Budget Paper 2, Vol 2.

(e)   A lane of traffic has not been removed. The two existing traffic lanes were shifted to accommodate works, with barriers progressively erected over a six-week period from August 2021.

(f)-(g) 2023.
