TOWN OF CAMBRIDGE —
MINISTER FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT — SHOW-CAUSE NOTICE
810. Mr S.K. L'ESTRANGE to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question.
Does the Premier accept the Supreme Court justice's findings that the
Minister for Local Government acted negligently and improperly used his powers
as a minister?
Mr M.
McGOWAN replied:
He has not used any of his powers
improperly. What a suggestion! He has taken advice, as he said, from his agency
in the actions that he has undertaken. My recollection is that he said that
yesterday; he has taken advice from his department in relation to these
matters. This is the first question that the member has asked in a long, long
time. The member seems to have been sidelined under the current leadership of
the opposition. In light of the question that the member has asked, I understand
why they have sidelined him.
