I refer to the Minister for Police's comments
reported in The West Australian on 22 March that individuals engaged in
unlawful and aggressive behaviour in Northbridge was not the responsibility of
the police or the government.
(1) Can the minister confirm that he made these statements?
(2) Does he stand by them?

What I said was that the responsibility for the attacks on those women, which
was shocking, appalling and totally inappropriate, were the responsibility of
the individuals who carried out those acts.
