Question

(1) For each hospital in the South West region:
(a) What is the bed capacity;
(b) Does the hospital have an emergency department and if so, what is the bed capacity; and
(c) Does the hospital have an Intensive Care Unit or High Dependency Unit and if so, what is the bed capacity?
(2) For each hospital in the South West region, what are the total Full Time Equivalents for:
(a) Doctors;
(b) Nurses;
(c) Midwives; and
(d) Other (administration, support services etc)?
(3) For each hospital in the South West region:
(a) What health care services are provided;
(b) How many operating theatres are there;
(c) What surgical operations were performed at each hospital in 2021; and
(d) Which hospitals provide day surgeries and what is the bed capacity for day surgery?
(4) For each hospital in the South West region:
(a) Which hospitals currently deliver babies;
(b) What is the bed capacity in the maternity section; and
(c) How many birthing suites are provided at the hospital?
(5) For each of the hospitals listed in 4(a), how many babies were delivered in:
(a) 2017;
(b) 2018;
(c) 2019;
(d) 2020;
(e) 2021; and
(f) 2022 to date?

In the South West the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) operates 13 individual WACHS sites, 12 of which are hospitals. To answer the question as stated would divert substantial resources from delivering core business of the Agency.
