Question
I refer to assertive outreach services to support homeless individuals, and ask:
(a) what services are currently funded to provide assertive outreach, please list the organisation and value of funding to the service; and
(b) how many assertive outreach workers are employed across the State, please include a breakdown by region?

(a) The following services are funded by the Department of Communities (Communities) to provide assertive outreach services:

Additional assertive outreach workers are funded through philanthropy, local Government and other state government agencies. For example, the Mobile Community Outreach Team is funded through the Mental Health Commission.
(b) The number of assertive outreach workers (Full Time Equivalent (FTE) staff) funded by Communities is as follows
- Perth inner City/metropolitan – 2 FTE
- Fremantle – 2 FTE
- Goldfields – 2 FTE
- Kimberley (Broome) – 2 FTE
