DEVELOPMENT ASSESSMENT PANEL — ESPERANCE
699. Mr P.J. RUNDLE to the Minister for Planning:
I have a supplementary question.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER: Members, I want
to hear this.
Mr P.J. RUNDLE: Given that
local representation is considered vitally important and the Minister for
Planning has the power to appoint two alternative community representatives to
ensure that local representation is always present on a panel, why did she not
do this?
Ms R.
SAFFIOTI replied:
Again, I will get back to the member
on the specifics of that proposal. We are always keen to make sure that our
planning decisions help improve the community and also create jobs. I will get
back to the member on the specifics as soon as I can.
