ABORIGINAL HERITAGE —
ANCESTRAL OWL STONE — RED HILL QUARRY
1114. Hon ROBIN CHAPPLE to the minister representing the
Minister for Aboriginal Affairs:
I refer to Owl Stone, or Boyay
Gogomat, at Red Hill on the Hanson quarry lease in Gidgegannup, and the lands
associated with that development.
(1) Is the
Department of Aboriginal Affairs presently aware of any heritage or cultural
sites within the Hanson quarry?
(2) Can the minister provide a history of the heritage
status of the area, including dates of changes to those statuses?
