CORONAVIRUS —
VACCINATION PLAN — REGIONS
38. Hon RICK MAZZA to the minister representing the
Minister for Health:
I
refer to the ABC news article headed ''State government's 'Roll
up for WA' campaign will be a challenge in regional communities,
says local GP'', which describes regional people travelling long
distances to receive AstraZeneca vaccines due to limited supplies in their
communities.
(1) How many
weekly doses of AstraZeneca are currently being received in the wheatbelt?
(2) Are vaccine
quantities expected to increase?
(3) If yes to
(2), when, and by how much?
Hon
STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) Doses are not
allocated on a weekly basis. Doses are provided commensurate with bookings
received.
(2) Yes.
(3) See answer to
(1).
