TOURISM — SHORT-TERM RENTAL ACCOMMODATION
1102. Hon WILSON TUCKER to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Planning:
I refer to the government's
draft planning policy for short-term rentals announced on 6 December.
(1) Has a cost–benefit
analysis been completed prior to the release of this draft policy?
(2) If yes to
(1), please table the analysis.
(3) If no to (1), why not?
Hon SUE
ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(3) The draft Position statement: planning for
tourism is currently out for consultation. As such, the government
is seeking input from industry and the community on a wide range of planning
matters associated with tourism development and the draft policy.
