Parliamentary Questions

Question Without Notice No. 840 asked in the Legislative Council on 20 August 2020 by Hon Peter Collier

Parliament: 40 Session: 1

MURDOCH MEDIHOTEL — CONTRACT

840. Hon PETER COLLIER to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:

I refer to the media statement ''Murdoch medihotel development planned to open early 2023''.

(1) Under the contract with the Aegis Aged Care Group, what are the annual capital and operating costs to the state, together with any other financial obligations?

(2) Are there any minimum payments under the contract, regardless of the services delivered; and, if so, what are the minimum payment obligations to the state under the contract?

(3) What services will be delivered under the contract?

(4) What is the length of the contract?

(5) Will the minister table the contract and/or business case; and, if not, why not?

Hon ALANNA CLOHESY replied:

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.

(1)–(5) The McGowan government has committed $55.5 million over four years towards the operational costs of 80 beds. A contract with the Aegis Aged Care Group has not yet been concluded.
