EDUCATION —
SCHOOLS OF SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS
1083. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the Minister for Education and
Training:
I ask this question on behalf of Hon
Donna Faragher, who is absent of the chamber on urgent parliamentary business.
I refer to specialist services provided to students through the Department of
Education's Schools of Special Educational Needs.
(1) In 2020 and
2021, how many government school students were enrolled in or have accessed
specialist services from the following —
(a) School of Special Educational
Needs: Disability;
(b) School of Special Educational
Needs: Medical and Mental Health; and
(c) School of Special Educational
Needs: Sensory?
Hon SUE
ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) Students
accessing specialist services from the Schools of Special Educational Needs:
Disability, Medical and Mental Health and Sensory remain enrolled in their
school. As such, no students were enrolled in specialist
services in 2020 and 2021. The next part of the answer is in tabular form, so I
seek leave to have that part of the answer incorporated into Hansard.
