I refer to question without notice 993 asked on Thursday, 20 October 2022, and I ask, please provide the total number of premises for which bonds are held by
the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety each month, for
the past five years?

The total number of premises for which bonds are held by the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety – Consumer Protection Division for the past five years, is as follows:

The bonds database does not distinguish unique addresses for bonds, and multiple bonds may be held simultaneously for the same property. While the data has been cleansed where possible, it is estimated that there could be an error rate of approximately 1.08 per cent due to duplicate bonds, spelling errors or formatting variations as a result of address information being entered directly into the bonds database by lessors and real estate agents, with some opting not to use the address validation feature.
