NATIONAL DUST DISEASE
TASKFORCE — REPORT RECOMMENDATIONS
607. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Minister for Industrial
Relations:
I refer to the minister's
answer to the question without notice I asked yesterday with regard to the
National Dust Disease Taskforce and its final report published in July 2021.
Part (5) of my question stated —
Will the minister table the most
recent briefing note or similar document that he has received relating to this
report?
The minister's response was —
The government is expecting to have
further discussions with the federal Minister for Industrial Relations to progress further work on this matter. Once a position
is finalised, the government will provide an update to Parliament in
relation to the government's response to the recommendations.
Did the minister receive a briefing
note or similar document with respect to this report?

STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I have received at least one piece
of correspondence in relation to the report. This matter will be referred to
cabinet for deliberation in the future. Until cabinet has made a decision on
that National Dust Disease Taskforce report, I am not at liberty to provide any
correspondence.
