SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES FORUM

445. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Community Services:

I refer to the Supporting Communities Forum.

Will the minister list —

(a) the current membership of the forum; and

(b) the number of meetings, including the date of each meeting, that the forum has held since 1 January 2020?

Hon SAMANTHA ROWE replied:

I thank the member for some notice of the question and provide the following answer on behalf of the Minister for Community Services.

(a) As of 31 May 2021, the community sector and government co-chairpersons are: Ms Michelle Scott, director, McCusker Centre for Citizenship; and Jodi Cant, acting director general, Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage. The deputy chairperson is Kate George, consultant.

The community sector members are Louise Giolitto, CEO, WA Council of Social Services; Dan Minchin, CEO, Chorus; Tricia Murray, CEO, Wanslea Family Services and Early Learning and Development; Maria Osman, Ministerial Multicultural Advisory Council member; Julie Waylen, state manager, National Disability Services WA; Ross Wortham, CEO, Youth Affairs Council WA; Debra Zanella, CEO, Ruah Community Services; Felicite Black, CEO, Womens Health and Family Services; Kate Chaney, director, innovation and strategy, Anglicare WA; Justine Colyer, CEO, Rise Network; Emma Jarvis, CEO, Palmerston; Melissa Perry, CEO, Communicare; Denver D'Cruz, general manager, Inclusion Solutions; and Kelda Oppermann, CEO, Zonta House Refuge Association.

The government sector members are: Mike Rowe, director general, Department of Communities; Lisa Rodgers, Director General, Department of Education; David Russell-Weisz, director general, Department of Health; Adam Tomison, director general, Department of Justice; Lanie Chopping, acting director general, Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries; Emily Roper, acting director general, Department of the Premier and Cabinet; Susan Hunt, CEO, Lotterywest; Jennifer McGrath, commissioner, Mental Health Commission; and Sharyn O'Neill, commissioner, Public Sector Commission.

(b) There have been 10 meetings: 24 February 2020, 17 June 2020, 24 August 2020, 5 October 2020, 12 October 2020, 13 October 2020, 19 October 2020, 23 November 2020, 28 January 2021 and 24 May 2021.
