Question On Notice No. 3246 asked in the Legislative Council on 8 October 2020 by Hon Tjorn Sibma
Question Directed to the: Minister for Regional Development
Parliament: 40 Session: 1
Question
I have received correspondence regarding the Port Hedland West End Buy Back Scheme from a number of people. I have been advised by these individuals that during a meeting you promised them a copy of a report prepared by Mr Love, and that this would be given to them in March. I therefore ask:
(a) do you recall being at a meeting in which you undertook to provide West End stakeholders with a copy of Mr Love's report;
(b) has Mr Love's report been provided to them;
(c) what should one say to those who sought a copy of the report and have not received it; and
(d) when and by what means can copy of the report be forwarded to them?
Answered on 5 November 2020
(a) - (d) The meeting was told Mr Love’s report would be submitted to government and a decision made by government. Mr Love’s report provided the basis for a Cabinet submission and is considered Cabinet-in-confidence.
