I
refer to the Premier's announcement on 10 February 2022 of a $77 million
safe transition industry support package.
(1) As of 14 March 2022, how many applications has the
government received for support under this package?
(2) How many of
these applications have been assessed to date?
(3) Of the
applications that have been assessed, how many have been deemed eligible for
support, and how many have been deemed ineligible?
(4) How much of
the $77 million has been paid out to Western Australian businesses to date?

I thank the
member for some notice of the question.
(1) The safe transition industry support package comprises a number of
subprograms. The answer is set out in tabular form, so I seek leave to have
that part of the answer incorporated into Hansard.

Registrations for the self-quarantine
support fund and the international education industry support fund opened
on 10 February 2022, and registrations for the accommodation subsidy and the English
language intensive courses for overseas students bursary opened on 21 February
2022. As at 11 March, 3 871 registrations had been received.
(4) The
Department of Treasury has advised that the answer is unable to be provided in
the time available. If the member places the question on notice, I will
endeavour to provide an answer.
