ROBIN CHAPPLE to the minister representing the Minister for Aboriginal
Affairs:
I
refer to the minutes of the ordinary meeting of the Aboriginal Cultural
Material Committee held in Perth on Wednesday, 18 December 2013, which were
supplied to me via question on notice 3276, and freedom of information document
23 supplied to The Australian, by which The Australian was
given access to the minutes of this same meeting. Those minutes are available.
(1) Is the
minister aware of the discrepancies between the two transcript copies, at
section 3.10, in reference to the Brockman 4 mine at Juukan?
(2) Is the
minister aware that the chair's disclosure of personal interests, at
section 3.10 of FOI document 23 does not appear in the copy of the same minutes
given to me in answer to question on notice 3276?
(3) Which copy of the same meeting
is correct?
(4) Can the minister suggest any
ways in which two copies of the same meeting have eventuated?

some notice of the question.
The following answer has been
provided to me by the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs.
(1)–(2) No.
(3)–(4) There
is only one official copy of the minutes relating to the ACMC meeting of 18 December
2013 held by the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage. The copy that the
honourable member received for question on notice 3276, dated 18 June 2015, was
a redacted copy of the minutes that was responding specifically to the question
asked seeking information relevant to site assessments.
