DEPUTY PREMIER —
G2G PASS APPLICATIONS
752. Hon COLIN de GRUSSA to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer to the response provided to
question without notice 733 asked on 30 August 2022, and G2G application referrals
made by minister's officers to the Western Australia Police Force.
(1) Given it has
been claimed there is no central list of G2G inquiries, how was the snapshot of
opposition queries compiled?
(2) Please provide a snapshot of
queries for ministers and government members.
(3) Who provided the snapshot of
opposition queries to the Premier, and when was this provided?
Hon
STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question. The following information has been provided to me
by the Minister for Police.
(1)–(3) I
refer the honourable member to the answer provided by the Premier yesterday.
The figures quoted by the Premier in the
Legislative Assembly on 11 August 2022 were a snapshot of queries sent from
opposition members to my office. It was not an exhaustive list of
inquiries that was sent to ministers, their officers or directly to the WA Police Force since the inception of the G2G
system. All matters relating to G2G passes that were received by every member of Parliament from all political
parties were referred to the WA Police Force, which is responsible for
the management of G2G passes.
