Question Without Notice No. 1060 asked in the Legislative Council on 13 October 2020 by Hon Peter Collier

Parliament: 40 Session: 1

CORONAVIRUS — WA RECOVERY PLAN — 2020–21 STATE BUDGET

1060. Hon PETER COLLIER to the minister representing the Treasurer:

I ask this question on behalf of Hon Dr Steve Thomas who is on urgent parliamentary business.

I refer to page 27 of state budget paper No 3 of the 2020–21 state budget released last week, which has a table outlining the spending of the WA recovery plan. What has been the spending/revenue forgone to date for each initiative on that list?

Hon STEPHEN DAWSON replied:

I thank Hon Steve Thomas for some notice of the question.

Based on the information available up to 31 August 2020, almost $1.8 billion has been spent or revenue forgone as part of the McGowan government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Further information will be provided in the 2020–21 midyear review.
