refer to the diagram of the governance model found on page 27 of the Department
of Communities' ''Path to Safety: Western Australia's
Strategy to Reduce Family and Domestic Violence 2020–2030''.
(1) Who is on the Community Safety
and Family Support Cabinet Sub-Committee?
(2) Who is on the directors-general
implementation group?
(3) Who is on the family and
domestic violence strategy steering group?
(4) Which organisations make up the
district and community leadership groups?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The answers to parts (1) and (2) have been
provided by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
(1) Members of
the Community Safety and Family Support Cabinet Sub-Committee are: the Deputy
Premier; the Minister for Health; Mental Health, who is the chair; the Minister
for Education and Training; the Minister for Corrective Services; the Minister
for Police; the Attorney General; and the Minister for Child Protection;
Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence; Community Services, who is the
deputy chair.
(2) Members of
the directors-general implementation group are the heads of the following: the
head of the Department of the Premier and
Cabinet, who is the chair; the Department of Communities; the Department
of Justice; the Department of Education; the Mental Health Commission; Western Australia
Police Force; and the Department of Health.
(3) The membership of the family and domestic violence
strategy steering group, convened by the Department of Communities, is
currently being finalised. Interim membership includes representatives from the
Department of Justice; the Department of Health; Western Australia Police
Force; the Department of Education; Legal Aid WA; the Mental Health Commission;
the Department of the Premier and Cabinet; the Department of Social Services;
the Women's Council for Domestic and Family Violence Services WA;
Stopping Family Violence; Aboriginal Family Law Services; and the Geraldton
Regional Aboriginal Medical Service.
(4) Group
membership varies across locations, but ordinarily includes representatives
from state and commonwealth governments, local government, the community
services sector, Aboriginal community-controlled organisations, and industry.
