COMMUNITIES — POLICE RAID
794. Hon PETER COLLIER to the
Leader of the House representing the Minister for Community Services:
I refer to
question without notice 756, asked on Wednesday, 31 August.
(1) Since the
raid on the home of the female Aboriginal employee by the Western Australia
Police Force, has she been on full pay and
conditions in her employment within the Department of Communities; and, if not,
why not?
(2) Since the
raid on the home the female Aboriginal employee by the Western Australia Police
Force, has she been offered any ongoing support from within the Department of
Communities; and, if not, why not?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) It is not
appropriate to divulge the personal employment information sought by part (1).
(2) All
Department of Communities staff have access to the employee assistance program,
which is available to staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week. EAP provides
free confidential counselling services to staff and their immediate family
members.
