CORONAVIRUS — SAFEWA APP

981. Hon PETER COLLIER to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Health:

(1) Has all the information obtained by the Department of Health for COVID purposes, including but not exclusive to the SafeWA app, been destroyed?

(2) If not, what information has been retained and why?

I answer on behalf of the Leader of the House. I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. I provide the following answer on behalf of the Minister for Health.

(1)–(2) The Department of Health is responsible for the management of patient data across Western Australia's health system, including information related to contact tracing, and as such continues to hold data that pertains to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
