HOUSING — SPOT PURCHASING PROGRAM
170. Hon
STEVE MARTIN to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for
Housing:
I refer to the
$50 million allocated in this year's budget for a spot purchasing
program for housing.
(1) To date, how
many homes have been purchased this financial year?
(2) By region,
where have these homes been purchased?
(3) What has been
the average cost of the homes purchased?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
I thank the member for some notice
of the question.
(1) Following the
McGowan government's record investment of $875 million as part of the
2020–21 state budget and the announcement of a spot purchasing program
on 5 September—it says 2022, but I think it means 2021, so I will double-check, but I will give the member the rest
of the answer—up to 15 March 2022 a total of 143 properties have
been purchased and settled.
(2) The answer is
in tabular form.
I seek leave to have the response
incorporated into Hansard.
