ATTORNEY GENERAL —
UNFAIR DISMISSAL CASE
1013. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Minister for Industrial Relations:
I
refer to the supplementary information provided on 17 November 2021 by the
Attorney General in the other place regarding his answer to question without
notice 783 that the registrar has delivered a ruling that the Public Service Appeal
Board does not have the power to issue a summons.
(1) When was the
minister first made aware that the Attorney General had intervened in an unfair
dismissal case brought by a former electorate officer of the member for
Kwinana?
(2) Who made him aware and when did this
occur?
(3) What was the date of the
registrar's ruling, and will the minister table a copy of it?
(4) Were any summonses issued in
proceedings before the board in the last financial year?
(5) If yes to (4), how many?
Hon
STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) I
became aware on 17 November following the answer provided to question without
notice 783.
(3) As I am not a
party to the proceedings, I do not have a copy of any findings or
determinations made by the registrar.
(4) There have been no summonses
issued in proceedings before the board in the last financial year.
(5) Not applicable.
