The Bill provides for the repeal of the 17 Acts within the Agriculture Portfolio that are to be replaced by the proposed Biosecurity and Agriculture Management Act, and for savings and transitional arrangements required because of repeals. The Acts that are replaced are: Aerial Spraying Control Act 1966

Argentine Ant Act 1968

Plant Diseases Act 1914
Plant Pest and Disease (Eradication Funds) Act 1974
Seeds Act 1981
Stock (Identification and Movement) Act 1970

Royal Assent given 12 Oct 2007 as Act No. 24 of 2007. This Act comes into operation on a day fixed by Proclamation (see Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
