1. Raise our deep concerns about the economic impacts of the capricious closure of the Horizontal Falls by the Cook Labor Government.
2. Express our support for the scores of businesses affected, including tour operators, accommodations providers and those in the hospitality sector.
3. Note the worrying trend of this Government’s increasing support for ideology over sensible government.
4. Express the need for a more balanced approach that supports both the recognition of Aboriginal culture and the freedom for tour operators to navigate our iconic coastal waters.
5. Implores the Legislative Council to recommend to the WA Government to reverse its callous decision and guarantee that the Horizontal Falls tourism experience will stay open for generations to come.
