It is a function of the Joint Standing Committee to examine Annual and other Reports of the Commissioner for Children and Young People.
Western Australia's inaugural Commissioner for Children and Young People was appointed to the position in December 2007. The Commissioner's second Annual Report was tabled in Parliament in September 2009 and details the Commissioner's activities during the 2008-2009 financial year.
