To undertake an inquiry into electricity transmission and distribution management by Western Power and Horizon Power, and in particular:

issues raised in the report released by EnergySafety, 2008 Distribution Wood Pole Audit Review (May 2009);
maintenance procedures;
current wood distribution pole management practices;
current wood transmission pole management practices;
the use of other materials beside wood for electrical transmission and distribution poles;
electricity pole management practices in other jurisdictions; and
any other relevant matter.
